Ambassador of Poland attends reopening of kindergarten in Bjni

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS. The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Poland to the Republic of Armenia Zdzisław Raczyński attended the reopening of the reconstructed day-care centre-kindergarten in the Bjni Community of the Kotayk Province on September 10. The Press Service of the Embassy of Poland to the Republic of Armenia informed "Armenpress" that the reconstruction works of the aforesaid day-care centre-kindergarten in the Bjni Community of the Kotayk Province have been organized within the framework of "Polish Relief" program. The reconstruction of the day-care centre-kindergarten is one of those 10 development programs with are carried out in the Republic of Armenia due to the assistance of the Embassy of Poland to the Republic of Armenia.

Bjni is a village in the Kotayk Province of Armenia. It is situated in a valley between canyon walls and a small river. Throughout Bjni's history, it has remained one of the main centers of education in Armenia. Some manuscripts from Bjni dated to the 12th to 17th centuries have survived. The first recorded mention of the village was by the 5th- to 6th-century chronicler and historian Ghazar Parpetsi.
