“Honey holiday” in Gyumri

YEREVAN, JULY 24, ARMENPRESS: On July 24 in Gyumri was held “Honey holiday”. It was initiated by Trpnjyan center of American University in Armenia in Shirak region in framework of “Village communities’ development program”. The bee-keepers participating in the event confirmed during the conversation with “Armenpress” reporter that bee-keeping can be beneficial in case of dedication.
It is surprising but bee-keeping today attracts also youth. For Armen and Artiom Sargsyans, who are IT specialists, bee-keeping has become business from beloved occupation. “Bee-keeping attracted me. There were not any bee-keepers in our family before but managed to make it business for me,” mentioned Armen Sargsyan.
“The aim of “Village communities’ development program” of Trpnjyan center of American University of Armenia in Shirak region is supporting small and medium entrepreneurs. “The program includes four components – classes, loan providing, continuous consistency and creation of network which will be beneficial for product realization,” mentioned head of Village communities’ development program” of Trpnjyan center of American University of Armenia in Shirak region Zorayr Kirakosyan. The latter also added that bee-keeping is profitable if bee-keeper is honest and manages to gain confidence: in that case he will not have a problem of realization.
