GYUMRI, JUNE 15, ARMENPRESS: Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of India to Armenia Suresh Babu visited Gyumri on June 15. The newly appointed ambassador was hosted by mayor Samvel Balasanyan. “Armenpress” was informed from press secretary of the municipality Zohrap Eganyan that the mayor of Gyumri at first presented to the ambassador the history of the city, economic and social situation as well as repair works which are held in the city at this moment. The ambassador thanking for the receiption spoke about Armenian-Indian relations, joint programs and achievements of India and Armenian community of that country.
On the suggestion of Samvel Balasanyan the sides also discussed the issue of possible Indian investments in Gyumri. There was expressed readiness to implement more deep discussions about possible versions of cooperation.
