GYUMRI, JUNE 11, ARMENPRESS: In “Gyumri medical center” during September-October months Italian doctors will implement heart open operations. “Armenpress” reports that the new program is for three years. During this period Italians will also train medical staff. Italian doctors have already once visited the medical center of Gyumri, got acquainted with conditions and came to the conclusion that it is possible to hold heart open operations there. Besides local specialists will have trainings: two doctors and one nurse will leave for Italy. In framework of abovementioned program Italian doctors will visit Armenia six times a year. The first visit is planned in September-October.
Italian side also offered its support in the issue of getting equipment. The choosing of first people who will be operated will be made in August in presence of Italian specialists. In Armenia at present such operations are implemented in “Nork-Marash” medical center in Yerevan.
