Tigran Sargsyan hopes suspension of Superjet operations in Armenia to be of temporary character

YEREVAN, MAY 30, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian side regrets about the suspension of the operations of the Superjet planes and hopes that it would be of a temporary character. This was reported to Armenpress by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan. As stated by the Prime Minister, in 2012 Armavia Air Carrier Company was forced to stop the operations of the SSJ100 because of debts.

From April 2011 to April 2012 the ЕК95015 plane provided 2283 flight hours in 35 international directions. The average daily flight in some cases made about 14-16 hours.

In 2012 Armavia Air Carrier returned one of the ordered Sukhoi SuperJet 100 to the Sukhoi Civil Aircrafts, reasoning the low quality of the aircraft. The Company refused the second plane.
