YEREVAN, MAY 27, ARMENPRESS: Severe hail in Syuniks’a Agarak town, which lasted about 6 minutes, caused serious damages to the community. “The size of hailstones was bigger than nut’s size,” Agarak Mayor Mkhitar Zakaryan said in the interview with Armenpress.
According to preliminary evaluations of Mayor, the hail damaged not only the whole harvest of the town but also the trees. Some cars and lighting systems have also been damaged.
On May 26 it hailed in Lehvaz, Vardanidzor, Vahravar, Kuris, Gudemnis villages as well. Special committees created in communities are calculating the damage.
