YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 8, ARMENPRESS. "Armenpress" introduces the 4th bestseller books list composed in accordance with the inquiry made by "Armenpress" News Agency in the bookstores of Yerevan. This time ''The Book of Lamentations'' by outstanding Armenian author St. Gregory of Narek tops the bestseller books list. This book has always had its permanent place in our ranking. "Pippi Longstocking" fairy tale by Swedish author Astrid Lindgren appears in our bestsellers' list for the first time and occupies the second position straight away. "The Reader", novel by German writer Bernhard Schlink takes the third place in the list. This is also the first appearance of this book in the list introduced by “Armenpress”. The fourth place goes to "Selected Works" by modern Armenian writer Nelli Shahnazaryan. Nelli Shahnazaryan’s selected works have been included in our list for already four weeks. "10 Outstanding Armenian Kings" by Artak Movsisyan occupies the sixth position of our bestseller's books list.
The fairy tales always have their special place in our bestseller books list. "Tales" by Hovhannes Toumanyan occupies the sixth position this time. Larisa Gevorgyan's "I'll Come in Three Days, Mom…" is ranked the seventh.
This time "The Unsent Letters" by Hambardzum Galstyan, which used to top the bestseller books list for two weeks, occupies the eighth position. The author dedicated his book to the 25th anniversary of the Karabakh movement. Tales by Armenian author Ghazaros Aghayan and Hans Christian Andersen occupy the ninth and tenth positions of the bestseller books list respectively.
