YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 5, ARMENPRESS. The Head of the Armenian Delegation to PACE Davit Harutyunyan characterized the words of the PACE rapporteur for the monitoring of Armenia Axel Fischer as extremely improper, if the Azerbaijani media had rendered his words without distortion. In a conversation with "Armenpress" Davit Harutyunyan commented on a row of Axel Fischer's statements about Nagorno Karabakh in an interview to Azerbaijani APA agency and mentioned: "Such announcements compel to doubt his competence." It was stated as if Axel Fischer criticized opening of the Stepanakert Airport and said that the UN Security Council placed a demand on Armenia to take out the troops from the “occupied” territories. Davit Harutyunyan noted: "Axel Fischer has not approved yet that his words were rendered accurately. If the rapporteur's words were rendered properly, than this is an extremely improper step, which compels us to doubt his competence." In his opinion such statements are unacceptable.
