Hybrid war narrative present since 2018, says official

Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan, during a press briefing on May 9, touched upon PM Nikol Pashinyan’s Moscow visit for the Victory Day parade and a possible bilateral meeting with President Putin. He also spoke about the assessments about a hybrid war.

Grigoryan told reporters that the reports about hybrid war are nothing new and a public narrative about it began as early as 2018.

“I don’t think that the hybrid war is being discussed only recently. It has been discussed perhaps since 2018,” he said.

Asked about a possible Pashinyan-Putin meeting, Grigoryan said he can’t comment on that.

“Regarding the bilateral meeting, let’s wait, I think the press service, both the prime minister’s and the Kremlin’s will speak about it. I won’t speak about that,” Grigoryan said, adding that all agenda items will be discussed and published if needed.
