Armenia reiterated readiness to sign the peace agreement but the statements made by Azerbaijan haven’t yet led to progress, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has said.
He was asked by RFE/RL’s Armenian service to comment on the course of the peace talks.
Mirzoyan said Armenia is ready to sign the peace treaty, which has been finalized.
“Just as we were ready to launch consultations in that direction as soon as possible, we continue to be ready. But unfortunately we hear various statements by the Azerbaijani side. There’s been no progress yet, but there is a conversation. As in any negotiation, let’s be patient and perhaps soon there will be good news about the signing of the peace agreement,” he said.
