All existing stereotypes have disappeared between Armenian and Georgian people. Saakashvili

STRASBOURG, JANUARY 21, ARMENPRESS: “Georgia has always played stabilizing role in South Caucasus and we have been in good relations both with Armenia and Azerbaijan. These are not just words,” noted Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili when answering question of Armenpress journalist in Strasbourg, where the winter session of PACE launched on January 21.

President of Georgia refrained from commenting on the statement of Georgian Prime Bidzina Ivanishvili made on January 17 during joint briefing with Armenian Prime in Yerevan, where he conveyed Ilham Aliyev’s words on NKR conflict. And to the question whether Georgia is willing to become a mediator Saakashvili has noted he is not aware what kind of details have been discussed.

When speaking about relations with South Caucasian countries Saakashvili noted, that more than half million Armenians visited Georgia last year.

“Recently we have not only activated relations between governments, but also between the nations, all existing stereotypes have disappeared. We have once again discovered each other which is more important than relations between presidents or the governments,” Saakashvili said.

He noted the same process was implementing with Azerbaijan.
