Armenia’s Security Council Secretary, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State discuss regional security situation

Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia Armen Grigoryan received U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Joshua Huck, Grigoryan’s office has said in a statement.

Armen Grigoryan welcomed the Deputy Assistant Secretary’s visit to Armenia and highlighted the multifaceted development of bilateral relations.

Joshua Huck expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and reaffirmed the United States’ readiness to support the further development of bilateral ties. The meeting also focused on the Armenia–U.S. bilateral agenda, within which Grigoryan underscored the importance of continuing joint efforts to advance the strategic partnership.

Regional security issues were also discussed during the meeting.

The Secretary of the Security Council presented the latest developments in the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and emphasized the importance of signing a peace treaty.
