The situation in Aleppo Armenian districts is quiet

YEREVAN, AUGUST 8, ARMENPRESS: Syrian President Bashar al Assad’s loyal forces continue to pursue the armed rebels expelling them from Aleppo city districts. Aleppo National primacy spokesman Zhirayr Reisyan told in the briefing with Armenpress, though there are shots, shelling outside fortunately the situation is rather quite. As compared with the previous days the situation there got better. ‘’ Armenians are spread throughout entire Aleppo, reportedly some districts are habited more than the rest ones. The atmosphere in the districts most populated with Armenians is also calm’’ Reisyan told. The electricity is often interrupted, yet there are districts which up to now lack electricity. If there are no clashes outside the people go out of their houses.

Aleppo-based Facebook users state they are living in continuous tense and expectant situation.

The rebel forces have retreated from Salaheddine districts and left it. Syrian SANA agency affirms, Government forces asserted full control in Salaheddine. Dozens of victims are registered. The clashed orchestrated in Bustan al Basha, Bab Nirab and Duar Aghyur districts as well as in Ace Sijen street resulted in the death of numerous rebels.

Homs also served an arena for collisions; the prevention of terrorists from Lebanon to Syria took place in Tel Kelyah district.

Syrian Armenian Community representatives became the victims of one year lasting clashes. Recently our two compatriots became the victim during the battle while defending the city from the armed rebels.
