Armenian President to interrupt his holiday in order to meet Putin

YEREVAN, AUGUST 2, ARMENPRESS: President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan since August 2 left for short-term holiday, some part of which he will spend in abroad. Armenpress was informed from the President’s press office that the President of the Republic will interrupt his holiday and leave for Russian Federation on a working visit where on August 8 he will hold meeting with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

As official Kremlin press service informed Armenpress, the President of the Republic of Armenia and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in the meeting due to take place August 8 Moscow are scheduled to envisage bilateral and regional topical issues pertain to political, economic and humanitarian spheres.Russian and Armenian cooperation in Eurasian integration process, particularly within such institutions as CIS and CSTO and as well as international and regional topical themes the situation in Transcaucasia, inclusive are set to be touched upon in the course of the scheduled meeting.

Russia is one of the main investors in the Republic of Armenia and Armenia's main trading partner. The Russian capital has exceeded 2.8 billion dollars in 2012 - in January and May , bilateral trade turnover amounts $ 434.8 million.
