French volunteers take part in restoration works of Saint Mary Church in Old Goris

GORIS: JULY 30, ARMENPRESS: Young French volunteers are in Goris for already seven days and take part in restoration works of Saint Mary Church in Old Goris. It is already the third year that volunteers take part in the restoration of the church which is implemented in support of Armenian Ministry of Cultured, “Country-culture” organization and municipalities of Armenian Goris and French Wien cities. Armenpress was informed form the municipality of Goris the volunteers are headed by representative of “Country-culture” Hovsep Papazyan. They had been hosted by the mayor of Goris Nelson Voskanyan. In order to make the daily life of young people more interesting the municipality organizes interesting entertaining programs, excursions in Goris. The volunteers will stay in the city till August 10. It is planned to open the reconstructed church on September 29. The church has been tumble-down for 300 years. The old bell of the church has not been kept.
