President of Armenia congratulates Vladimir Putin on his victory in presidential elections in Russia

YEREVAN, MARCH 5, ARMENRESS. President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message to Vladimir Putin on being elected President of the Russian Federation. Press office of the President reports that in his letter the president particularly said; "On behalf of Armenian people, and my behalf personally I sincerely and heartily congratulate you on being elected President of the Russian Federation. Your convincing victory in the presidential elections testifies the assistance of Russian people to the reforms initiated by you, development of Russia, increase of its role in the international arena."

In the letter Serzh Sargsyan said that Armenia and Russia are united by allied relations based on the ancient-long friendship between the two peoples. "During the recent years noticeable results have been achieved in Armenian-Russian cooperation and an essential store for future has been gathered. Your personal contribution to it is great," the president wrote in his letter.

President Serzh Sargsyan expressed conviction that the further development of bilateral strategic relations will serve for reinforcement of peace, security and stability in the South Caucasus, will allow not only implement long-term projects in the economy and inter-regional cooperation sphere, in cultural-humanitarian sphere, but reveal new opportunities of inter-state development.

Armenian President wished Vladimir Putin health, success in his high state position.
