Former police chief Hayk Harutyunyan has been offered office of a governor, newspaper says

The daily Hraparak writes that during the discussion of proportional lists when the heads of coalition forces were trying to work out general principles, President Serzh Sargsyan urged to restrain from including in the list business-oligarchs and also restrain from clan-family principle. The paper says he particularly stressed he will be the first to serve as an example: none of his brothers will be included in the list and be nominated in the majority election system.

The daily Yerkir writes during the recent ten days interesting developments are taking place in the State Revenue Committee: after regular certification a number of employees were dismissed from their jobs. The paper says the interesting thing is that among the dismissed are officials close to the deputies of the chairman of the Committee. The paper says the blow was more noticeable for the deputy of the chairman Artashes Beybutyan as all the people close to him have been dismissed. The paper says Gagik Khachatryan who returned from vacation is trying to clearly make it understand who is the boss of the system. The paper says but the time will show whether he has restored his former positions or just decided to shut the door before leaving.

The daily Zhoghovurd writes that during the recent period news is circulating that head of Armenia’s penitentiaries’ department, former police chief Hayk Harutyunyan has been offered office of a governor. The paper says it failed to find it out from Harutyunyan personally, as he did not answer the phone. Instead, continues the daily, press secretary of Armenia’s penitentiaries’ department Gor Ghlechyan said; “such proposal has not been made.”
