Henrik Mkhitaryan says the team performed effectively in 2011

Best football player of Armenia in 2011 Henrik Mkhitaryan positively assessed the passing year. Speaking at a news conference December 28 he said the team has performed effectively during this year. "We reached big results. It is easy to become champion but it is difficult to preserve the title of champion," the sportsman said.

Referring to the news about his transfer to an English club, Mkhitaryan said he learnt about it only through Internet. "I will consider me Shaktar's footballer until other agreement will be signed," Mkhitaryan said.

He highly assessed the unity existing in the national football team.

Speaking about New Year holidays, he said he does not believe in Santa Claus and will mark the New Year at home with his family.

"De Facto" club recognized Henrik Mkhitaryan as "Man of the Year".
