The daily Zhoghovurd writes that RA State Revenue Committee’s investigative service, not finding serious violations in the Armenian Electricity Networks’ documents returned a part of seized computers. The daily though says the authorities are still thinking over punishing the AEN. The paper says according to its sources, the investigative service of the State Revenue Committee started reviewing the previously suspended cases relating to the Armenian Electricity Networks. And what will be revealed may already be imagined, concluded the paper.

The daily Azg writes that the center of social-political studies before the parliamentary elections initiated conduction of survey of the public opinion and decided to carry it out in four phases. The paper says till February each month surveys will be conducted and the results will be summed up. The paper says according to the November survey the majority of the people considered the prior issue social justice, unemployment, inflation, migration, Artsakh issue, international recognition of the Armenian Genocide. The paper says in response to the question if the elections were tomorrow whom would you elect – 24% answered RPA, 21.5% Prosperous Armenia Party, 17% Rule of Law Party, 13.5% the Armenian National Congress, 9.5% ARF, 6.5% Heritage. The paper says 630 participated in the polls.

The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan will gather MPs of the party’s faction before the New Year and inform them about his decisions connected with the coming political round. The paper says MP of the party Goharik Yenokian told the daily that she does not know whether the party will form a pre-electoral alliance with the RPA or will run for parliamentary elections alone.

The daily Haykakan Zhamanak also writes that according to the rumors in diplomatic and ruling circles Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan will be appointed ambassador. The paper says yesterday it asked Ashotyan either confirm or reject the news and he said: “I am frustrated with the news as I am going to work as a minister in accordance with the political cycle. During the recent years I am very often being sent abroad as an ambassador. Finally, what’s the logic of appointing me ambassador on the threshold of two important elections.” The paper says currently the offices of RA ambassadors to Japan and Hungary are vacant. The paper says Ashotyan was in Paris for an official visit.
