Unemployment rate in Syunik reduces

KAPAN, OCTOBER 19, ARMENPRESS:

The number of unemployed goes down in the Armenian province of Syunik. According to the information of the regional employment center, during the nine months of this year the unemployment rate was nine percent against the 10.1% of the previous year. About 6 457 people are searching for jobs in the provinces, which is 1 176 less as compared with the 9 months of the past year.

The unemployment rate in Syunik is particularly high in the regions of Kapan and Goris. The majority of the unemployed are those having secondary and secondary professional education, women of average age.

Vice director of the center Arayik Hayrapetyan told Armenpress correspondent that in the beginning of the year 551 people found jobs, 120 unemployed are getting allowances.

Professional training classes have been organized for 31 citizens, of which 26 have already found jobs.
