Tegh village’s N1 school to have new building

GORIS, OCTOBER 14, ARMENPRESS:
New two-storeyed school will be built in the Tegh village of the Goris region, instead of the collapsed one. It will be intended for 250 pupils. Immediately after the provision of the financial means the construction of the new school will start. The part of the building where the lessons will be conducted is expected to be exploited in the coming academic year and the affiliated building and the local heating network will be ready for the next academic year.
"In two years our school will mark its 140th anniversary. We hope to celebrate it in new and convenient school," headmaster of the school Slavik Grigoryan told Armenpress correspondent.
The study process of schoolchildren of 1-6 grade pupils is being implemented in the abandoned building of the hospital that has been accommodated to the school demands. The high-graders are attending the N2 school of the village where they have been provided a certain place.
Currently 257 pupils are studying in the school. The director said the number of pupils though tends to increase.
The headmaster of the school said he has seen the project of the building of the new school and finds that the classrooms and gym are small. He is going to apply to the Ministry of Urban Development to provide additional means.
