Number of teenager criminals reduces in Gyumri

GYUMRI, SEPTEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS:
Twenty-five teenagers are registered in the Police department of Gyumri mainly for robbery, causing of injuries. Those avoiding studies, abandoning families or those returning from criminal executive establishments are also registered. Speaking to Armenpress head of the teenagers affairs department of the Police Hayk Zakaryan said the department keeps 170 families in focus.
"As of today the number of crimes committed by teenagers in Gyumri reduces, but it is not a consoling circumstance as this number may grow. We are trying to keep this index in the limits of our possibilities. We are happy that we do not have drug addicts among teenagers, though children living in the families of drug addicts are also under our control", Hayk Zakaryan said.
According to him, the police succeeded to exclude the existence of emo and other groups. "As a result of serious work we do not have such groups and even if there are such they are contacting through internet, no gatherings, no direct contacts."
