First inter-community exhibition to open in Gyumri

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 8, ARMENPRESS:

First inter-community cultural exhibition will open September 8-9 in Gyumri. Dancing, national song contest-festival will also be conducted. The goal of the event is to intensify the cultural life of the communities. The exhibition is dedicated to the 15th anniversary of establishment of the local self-governmental system in Armenia. Press service of Armenia's National Library reported that "Bibliobus" will be in Gyumri these days to participate in the event.

Within the framework of 15th anniversary of establishment of the local self-governmental system a conference dedicated to the development of rural communities will take place in October in Jermuk. As part of the sitting of the Council of Europe local and territorial authorities' congress an exhibition dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the local self-governance in Armenia will be organized.

In November a big international conference will be conducted in Armenia which will focus on issues existing in the local self-governmental system, role of this system in the contemporary world and Armenia. The anniversary events will be concluded in November.
