Number of crimes by teenagers reduces in Kapan

KAPAN, MAY 31, ARMENPRESS:

Starting from 2009 the number of crimes among the teenagers has sharply decreased. During 2009-2011 six cases of crimes were registered while in 2008 six, in 2007 nine cases were registered.

"The studies by the police showed that previously the number of crimes by Kapan teenagers were more. During the recent years the number of theft cases by teenagers have decreased, instead the number of cases of causing purposed harm to the people have increased", head of the Kapan's municipality's teenager affairs department Zara Vardanyan said.

She said it is remarkable that in the crimes committed by teenagers there is no violence and manifestation of brutality.
