Alexei Venediktov complains over the decision of Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry

YEREVAN, MAY 23, ARMENPRESS:

Ekho Moskvy radio station editor-in-chief Alexei Venediktov, responded to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry in connection with announcing Sergey Buntman, deputy editor-in-chief of the radio station, a persona non grata in Azerbaijan. "I express my complaint over the activities of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. Secondly, I intend to send a letter to Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev with a request to reverse the decision. Thirdly, I want to inform our listeners henceforth employees of Ekho-Moskvy radio station will visit the places guided by decision of chief editor, not officers of foreign ministry," he wrote.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has blacklisted Sergei Buntman after his visit to Nagorno-Karabakh.

During his visit, Buntman interviewed President of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan and Stepanakert Mayor Vazgen Mikaelyan.
