Armenia views Baku’s so-called “Western Azerbaijan” narrative as threat to its territorial integrity, says FM

Armenia views the Azerbaijani narrative of the co-called “Western Azerbaijan” as a threat to its territorial integrity, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has said.

“What we are hearing as part of the Western Azerbaijan narrative is directly perceived by us as a threat to Armenia’s territorial integrity,” Mirzoyan told reporters.

Asked about any additional Azeri demands, such as the narrative of the so-called “return” of Azerbaijanis, Mirzoyan said no such issue exists on the agenda.

“No such issue exists in the relations of the two countries, neither from their side nor our, there is no such issue on the agenda and it is not discussed,” he said.
