YEREVAN, JULY 14, ARMENPRESS:Yerevan mayor Yervand Zakharian said today development projects have extended to two old Yerevan quarters of Kond and Kozern. He said agreements have been signed with 120 families in Kond and the majority of them will get apartments in the same district. The mayor said construction of the first high-rise block of apartments for them will kick off in September. He said also 603 property certificates were issued this year to owners of land and structures in several districts of the city. According to him, under recent land code changes all those who had built extra wings to their structures before 2001 and those who had been cultivating without proper permission of 340 meters of land will be granted property certificates too. He said this is a very extensive job and will go on until all structures and land are registered. He also warned that the capital city’s development is being surveyed through satellite surveillance system and all deviations will be detected immediately.
