YEREVAN, MAY 26, ARMENPRESS:Russia won the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time having competed eleven times before. Dima Bilan scored 272 points, the third highest score in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest. Armenia, which finished 4th, received the highest 12 points from Belgium, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Greece, Russia and Georgia. Armenia gave its 8, 10 and 12 points to Greece, Georgia and Russia respectively. The final of the song contest took place on May 24 in Belgrade with the participation of 25 countries. Next year “Eurovision 2009” song contest will be held in Moscow.
