COP17 final formal plenary sessions underway

Armenian Environment Minister and COP17 President Hambardzum Matevosyan said Friday that delegates at COP17 continue working intensively during the final formal plenary sessions.

“The final formal plenary sessions of COP17 are underway in Yerevan. We continue to work intensively to reach consensus on key negotiating issues and translate our shared commitments to nature conservation into concrete decisions. At this decisive stage, constructive engagement and a willingness to compromise from all of us are essential to bringing the Conference to a successful conclusion,” he said in a statement on Facebook.
