A four-day cycling race, the Tour d’Arménie (Tour of Armenia), will be held in Armenia from September 10 to 13.
The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport on Wednesday revealed the logo of the “Tour of Armenia,” saying that it combines three key characteristics of cycling: speed, movement, and direction.
The official website of the race, tour-of-armenia.com, has also been launched.
The schedule is as follows:
September 10: Gavar–Mets Masrik — 135 km
September 11: Kirants–Stepanavan — 176 km
September 12: Martuni–Dilijan (Lake Parz) — 164 km
September 13: Yerevan — 110 km, with 10 laps
Sixteen teams, each consisting of six cyclists, will participate in the “Tour of Armenia” international professional multi-stage cycling race.
The participants will include teams and athletes from various countries, including Japan, Italy, Kazakhstan, the United Kingdom, Thailand, Poland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Germany, and others. The Armenian team will also participate in the race.
More than 300 delegates in total, including athletes, team representatives, officials, and other specialists involved in organizing and holding the race, will arrive in Armenia.
The Tour d’Arménie (Tour of Armenia) is a professional multi-stage road cycling race held in Armenia and sanctioned as a Class 2.2 event on the UCI Europe Tour.
