Lilit Makunts meets UN Resident Coordinator Françoise Jacob

Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office Lilit Makunts met with UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia Françoise Jacob.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Makunts highly appreciated the role of the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in coordinating the work of the United Nations in Armenia and implementing programmes aligned with the priorities of the Armenian Government.

The meeting covered ongoing cooperation and further steps in the areas of community development, the socio-economic integration of displaced persons, environmental protection and water resources management.

The sides stressed the importance of organising and holding at a high level the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), to be held in Armenia, highlighting the close cooperation between the two sides.
