Armenia’s tax authorities discuss crypto assets, blockchain regulation

State Revenue Committee (SRC) Chairman Eduard Hakobyan has chaired a meeting with SRC employees who had undergone training on the tax and legal regulation of crypto assets and blockchain technologies, as well as risk management.

“The crypto world has become part of our reality, and our goal is for Committee employees to develop their knowledge in this area as well, in order to manage potential risks and take effective steps in their future work,” the SRC chairman said, according to a press release.

Extensive discussions took place on Armenia’s legislative regulations governing the crypto asset sector, taxation mechanisms, as well as ongoing and operational control measures aimed at assessing risks and detecting violations.
