Firebird AI has officially joined the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE) as a strategic member.
UATE said in a press release that the announcement was made during the UATE community’s monthly meeting held in Sevan.
The cooperation between UATE and Firebird has a symbolic and deep-rooted history.
As Firebird co-founder and UATE board member Alexander Yesayan noted during the meeting, the first discussions about the future mega-project and the connection between its founders began back in 2024, during the WCIT-Digitec international conference organized by UATE.
The Firebird AI data center launched near Hrazdan is the region’s largest artificial intelligence factory, positioning Armenia as a major regional and global hub for AI computing capacity. Investment in the first phase of the project alone exceeds $500 million, while total capacity is planned to reach 300 MW. By the end of 2027, the facility will be equipped with more than 70,000 NVIDIA Blackwell and Vera Rubin GPUs, placing it among Europe’s largest AI infrastructure facilities.
The availability of AI computing capacity in Armenia is opening up new opportunities for local startups, research centers and universities. The strategic partnership with UATE, which brings together around 300 technology companies, is intended to maximize this cooperation.
“The companies and people gathered within UATE are precisely the force that enables us to advance companies, whether it is our company, Firebird, or any other company or startup. We all have things to learn from one another, share with one another and help each other with. In that regard, UATE is the best platform in Armenia,” Alexander Yesayan emphasized.
UATE Executive Director Edita Ghazaryan welcomed Firebird’s membership in the union: “Today, Firebird is one of the most important players in Armenia’s technology ecosystem, and together we will implement large-scale programs so that this impact has a multiplier effect across the entire sector.”
Given the significant potential created in Armenia for the development of artificial intelligence technologies, UATE is also creating another important opportunity for companies in the sector to establish new partnerships and build global connections. The main platform for this will be DigiTec 2026, which will be held under the theme “The World’s New AI Hub” and will bring together AI industry leaders from the United States, Europe, Central Asia, the Gulf countries and the region in Yerevan on November 20-22.
