Armenia, Kazakhstan discuss expanding agricultural cooperation

Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with Kazakhstan’s Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov in Almaty on the sidelines of the Eurasian Economic Union’s Council on Agro-Industrial Policy meeting. 

According to the Economy Ministry’s readout, the sides discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in agriculture, increase bilateral trade, implement joint investment projects, and exchange experience and modern agricultural technologies.

They also addressed cooperation in the efficient use of water resources, irrigation systems, livestock farming, and the processing of agricultural products.

Minister Papoyan emphasized the potential to increase exports of Armenian agricultural and food products to Kazakhstan, particularly wine, fruit and vegetable products, and fishery products.
