Magnitude 3.0 earthquake strikes Armenia's south

A magnitude 3.0 earthquake struck southern Armenia around midday on Tuesday, authorities reported.

According to the Seismic Protection Regional Service, the earthquake occurred at 11:54 about 23 kilometers southwest of the town of Sisian, near the border with Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The tremor was felt in the towns of Sisian and Dastakert in Syunik Province, as well as in several nearby villages.

No damage was reported.
