President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the French Embassy in Yerevan on the occasion of Bastille Day, France's national holiday.
According to the Armenian President's Office, Khachaturyan congratulated French Ambassador Olivier Decottignies and, through him, extended his best wishes to President Emmanuel Macron and the people of France, wishing them peace, prosperity and continued success.
Highlighting the special relationship between Armenia and France, the president emphasized the importance of high-level visits, recalling President Macron's successful state visit to Armenia in May, which gave fresh momentum to the bilateral agenda.
The two sides also discussed French-funded projects in Armenia's Syunik Province, implemented at both the national and local levels, and underscored the importance of expanding cooperation in the defense industry, high technologies and artificial intelligence.
President Khachaturyan also referred to the progress in the Armenia-European Union strategic partnership, highlighting France's role in advancing that agenda.
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Decottignies thanked the president for his visit, his warm wishes and his continued support for strengthening bilateral relations.
