Authorities arrest suspect in Molotov cocktail attack targeting NSS headquarters

The suspect behind the Molotov cocktail attack targeting the front entrance gate of the National Security Service building in downtown Yerevan on Friday evening has been arrested, authorities said Saturday.

Ministry of Internal Affairs spokesperson Narek Sargsyan told Armenpress that the suspected assailant has been arrested amid an investigation. 

The motive behind the attack remains unclear. No injuries were reported.

A video posted online, filmed from a passing vehicle, showed a person throwing a Molotov cocktail at the gate of the building on Nalbandyan Street.
