17% of survey respondents say government’s top achievement is ensuring security and peace

According to a survey conducted in Armenia by the International Republican Institute, 17% of respondents said the government’s greatest achievement in recent months is ensuring security and peace.

As reported by Armenpress, when asked, “What do you think is the biggest success of the government during the last six months?” 17% of respondents answered that it was ensuring security and peace.

9% of respondents considered the government’s greatest achievement to be the diversification of foreign policy, another 9% cited the improvement of roads, 8% mentioned the introduction of a universal health insurance system, 7% pointed changes in the army, 7% noted improvements in the education sector, 4% highlighted the signing of a peace agreement (August 8 initialing of Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty), 3% cited economic growth, 3% mentioned the TRIPP project, 2% said the shortening of mandatory military service, 2% highlighted the return of prisoners, 2% noted the fight against corruption, 2% cited the implementation of housing construction programs, and 1% mentioned increases in pensions.

10% of respondents indicated other achievements, while 32% believe the government has had no achievements in the past six months. Another 17% found it difficult to answer the question.

The survey was conducted in a spontaneous response format, allowing respondents to give up to two answers, and the total number of responses was presented.

The public opinion survey was conducted on behalf of the International Republican Institute’s (IRI) Center for Insights in Survey Research by Breavis.
