Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov announced on Thursday that his country will not participate in the upcoming European Political Community Summit, which is set to be held in Yerevan in May.
According to the Azerbaijani APA news agency, Bayramov told reporters that “no [Azerbaijani] representation at any level” is planned.
He explained that President Ilham Aliyev has a “very tight schedule.”
The 8th European Political Community Summit will take place in Yerevan on May 4, 2026.
Armenia had previously announced that it invited Aliyev, among others, to attend the summit.
