We will not act against Russia: Pashinyan presents Armenia’s foreign policy strategy

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that the Armenian government will not act against the Russian Federation in its foreign policy.

“We share the following idea everywhere, with all our partners, that harming Russia and Russia's interests has not been, is not, and will not be on our agenda. That is excluded. No one will be able to drag us into this, even if they try. So far, there have been no such attempts,” Pashinyan said in an interview with Public TV.

Pashinyan also informed the  Russian partners that they will act in the interests of the Republic of Armenia.

“The personal level is no less important in this context. I have very direct and warm relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin,” Pashinyan said.

He added that the Russian side was particularly concerned after August 8, when the document on the TRIPP project was signed in Washington.

“I drew the attention of the Russian partners to one fact: we signed the content that we had proposed to the Russian Federation over the past five years.

“We wanted five words: territorial integrity, sovereignty, jurisdiction, reciprocity, and inviolability of borders. We said, "Put these five words on paper, and I am ready to sign that paper at any time," Pashinyan said.
