In Armenia, the number of job seekers and unemployed people has continuously decreased during 2021–2025.
Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan release the data on Monday.
According to the chart, in 2021, 86,396 people in Armenia were seeking work, and 58,153 were considered unemployed. In 2022, there were 70,544 job seekers and 48,561 unemployed people. In 2023, the numbers were 64,190 and 46,019 respectively. In 2024, there were 56,575 job seekers and 37,572 unemployed people. In 2025, the figures were 46,508 and 32,974.
“When we talk about newly created jobs and show the steady growth in this area in recent months, we often hear some unclear noise around it. The statistics on increasing jobs are also confirmed by the decreasing numbers of job seekers and unemployed people. In the attached chart, the numbers of job seekers and unemployed people registered with the Unified Social Service at the end of each year are shown. They demonstrate that over the past five years we have reduced the number of job seekers and unemployed people by almost half. And this decline continues,” Torosyan said on social media.
