In 2025, thousands more citizens entered the Republic of Armenia than left, marking the first time this has happened since records began in 2010, according to the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on social media that officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs briefed him that 8,660 more citizens entered the country than left. Such migration statistics have been recorded annually since 2010.
“In 2025, 8,660 more citizens entered the Republic of Armenia than left the country. These statistics — tracking the difference between citizens entering and leaving Armenia — have been kept since 2010, and this is the first time we are seeing a positive balance. For the first time, more citizens have entered Armenia than departed,” said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The Prime Minister said he sees two clear reasons for this figure: peace and economic development under peaceful conditions.
“2025 was only the first year of peace, and ahead of us are many more years of peace, along with new and encouraging statistics like this,” he added.
