Armenia’s Health Minister tours clinics to review universal insurance rollout

Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan toured health clinics to inspect the implementation of the universal health insurance system and identify any related issues.

“I highly appreciate the daily dedicated work of primary healthcare workers and reaffirm that with the introduction of insurance, their professional role and mission in preserving and restoring each patient’s health are elevated even further,” the minister said in a statement on social media.

The Universal Health Insurance system introduced in Armenia has been in effect since January 1, 2026.
