Georgia, Azerbaijan discuss petroleum shipment to Armenia

The foreign ministers of Georgia and Azerbaijan discussed the latest petroleum shipment to Armenia, the Azerbaijani APA news agency reported.
A train carrying Azerbaijani fuel arrived in Armenia via Georgia on December 19. It was previously reported that the shipment had been delayed due to Georgia’s tariff policy.
During a phone call on December 29, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov thanked his Georgian counterpart, Maka Botchorishvili, for the swift resolution of the matter, according to APA.
The ministers discussed issues related to regional trade and connectivity and welcomed the recent developments. According to APA, they expressed satisfaction with the agreement reached on the tariff issue related to the export of Azerbaijani petroleum products to Armenia via Georgia and emphasized the importance of continuing work in this direction.
They also discussed bilateral matters.
