High-Tech Industry Minister, Supermicro delegation discuss investment opportunities in Armenia

Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan met with a delegation led by Nancy Lee, Vice President for Business Development at Supermicro, the minister said in a social media post.

The discussion focused on Supermicro’s potential investment opportunities in Armenia, including the expansion of its operations, the implementation of investment programs within the country’s technological ecosystem and possible cooperation in the application of artificial intelligence.

Hayrapetyan emphasized Armenia’s interest in attracting high-tech companies and implementing investment initiatives. He noted that he presented the government’s ongoing efforts and strategic approaches toward the development and application of artificial intelligence, as well as the work already underway and upcoming tasks.

The minister also introduced the newly adopted legislative package providing seven-year state support aimed at promoting job creation, investments in the education sector, and programs contributing to the development of research and development (R&D).

Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing discussions and strengthening bilateral cooperation.
