Azerbaijani FM says Armenia-Azerbaijan ties are in their most peaceful and stable phase

At the 32nd meeting of the OSCE Council of Foreign Ministers, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated that Armenia and Azerbaijan are currently experiencing the most peaceful and stable period of their bilateral relations.

According to Bayramov, Armenia and Azerbaijan are in “the most peaceful and stable stage” of relations, noting that the sides are taking necessary steps and implementing concrete measures at governmental, parliamentary, and civil society levels to give additional impetus to the peace process.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister said that significant progress has been recorded since December 2023, which resulted in the historic peace summit held in Washington on August 8. He recalled that during the summit, in the presence of U.S. President Donald Trump, the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan adopted a joint declaration stating that "the conflict remains in the past".

Bayramov also emphasized the strategic importance of the Trump Route (TRIPP) project, saying that "the opening of communications would ensure regional peace and economic development on a broader scale."
