Economy Minister Papoyan invites UAE counterpart, businessmen to Armenia

Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Gevorg Papoyan met in Riyadh with the Minister of Economy and Tourism of the United Arab Emirates, Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, the Ministry of Economy of Armenia said.

The parties discussed prospects for expanding economic and tourism cooperation between Armenia and the UAE.

Papoyan noted that the UAE is one of the main target markets for Armenian tourism and emphasized the great potential for cooperation in the field of medical tourism.

He invited his Emirati counterpart to participate in upcoming tourism events in Armenia and presented investment opportunities, particularly in the areas of renewable energy, high technologies, pharmaceuticals, agribusiness and education.

Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri expressed gratitude for the invitation and confirmed that he would visit Armenia accompanied by a group of businessmen.

Papoyan also highlighted the “Masdar” investment program as a new chapter in the cooperation between the two countries.
