As a result of the border delimitation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Artsvashen and other occupied sovereign territories of the Republic of Armenia must be returned, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced on Facebook.

“As a result of the border delimitation, we must return Artsvashen and other occupied sovereign territories of the Republic of Armenia,” the Prime Minister said.

Earlier, Pashinyan had stated on various platforms that the issue of delimitation and enclaves has always been on the negotiating agenda between Yerevan and Baku. He noted that “Armenia cannot abandon this topic, as it has a legally substantiated claim to Artsvashen.”

The Prime Minister also emphasized that Armenia's security and overall strategy should be based on legal and international legitimacy, which, he said, "would help prevent illegitimate demands from Azerbaijan".
