Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan will participate in the World Forum for Democracy 2025, organized by the Council of Europe in Strasbourg from 5 to 7 November.
Andreasyan will deliver a speech at the plenary session titled “How Can Culture and Cultural Policy Strengthen Democracy,” presenting Armenia’s experience and initiatives in promoting democratic values, civic engagement, and the preservation of cultural diversity through culture and education, the ministry said in a press release.
During the visit, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports will hold a series of bilateral meetings with senior representatives of the Council of Europe to discuss issues related to the promotion of human rights and civic education, inclusive education and equal opportunities, education reforms, as well as the role of education and culture in strengthening democracy.
The forum will also feature thematic discussions addressing the role of media in democratic processes, citizen participation, and the prospects for developing cultural and creative initiatives.
