Volunteers join hundreds of rescuers in search for missing three-year-old in Armenian village

Hundreds of first responders are involved in a major search and rescue operation to find a missing three-year-old boy as efforts enter their third day.

Tigran Ovanesov, the three-year-old son of Armen Ovanesov and Parandzem Vatyan, a family from the village of Tsapatagh in Gegharkunik Province, was reportedly last seen playing outside with his five-year-old brother around 16:00 on October 27 near his home.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs said that 100 police officers and more than 210 rescuers are searching in seven different directions in the area. Volunteers from the village and nearby towns have joined the operation.

Earlier, on October 28, police said they had been using UAVs and K9 units in the search.
